Black Masterbatch Introduction

Black masterbatch (also called black color masterbatch) is a concentrated colorant primarily composed of carbon black as the pigment, processed through specific techniques with additives such as a resin carrier and dispersing agents. It belongs to the most widely used category of color masterbatches in the plastics industry.
Material Features
High tinting strength: A small amount can achieve a deep black color with strong hiding power.
Heat resistance: PVC/PE carriers can withstand temperatures of 160-180°C, while PP/PA carriers can withstand temperatures above 280°C.
Dispersibility: High-quality dispersants eliminate color streaks and pitting, ensuring a smooth surface.
Stability: Weather-resistant, UV-resistant, and chemical-resistant, suitable for outdoor environments.
Application
Shopping bags, garbage bags, film blowing, injection molding, hollow products, cable filler layers
Recommended Equipment & Processing Notes
- Extruders with strong mixing and shearing capabilities are preferred
- Additive ratio should be controlled to avoid compromising toughness
- Forced feeding systems are recommended for stable dosing
